In July 2025, Bilsington Priory became the backdrop for an unforgettable love story. Keisha and William travelled all the way from the Cayman Islands to Kent, England, to marry most intimately; an elopement that reflected their personalities, values and love for one another.
For them, this wasn’t just a wedding. It was an immersive adventure designed to celebrate their relationship in a way that felt natural, authentic and free from the pressures of a large family gathering.

Why did they choose an intimate wedding?
Back home in Cayman, weddings often mean extended guest lists of 200+ due to close-knit communities and large families. For Keisha and William, both confessed introverts, that didnāt feel right.
āWe just want something special for us. Weāre not comfortable being the centre of attention.ā
By choosing to elope, they created space for a deeply personal ceremony, where they could focus entirely on each other.

A Celebration True to Them
Keisha and William also share a low-carb, low-sugar lifestyle and donāt drink alcohol. So, instead of champagne, their wedding toast was raised with a sugar-free alternative. Their afternoon tea, served in the Manor House, was created by Libby and Zena of the Manor House on the Estate and was reimagined to suit their needs, with a bespoke keto-friendly spread of savoury treats and cake designed without compromise. Their wedding cake, created by Serena of Cobi and Coco, was also an impressive Keto creation. These thoughtful approaches turned what could have been a challenge into a highlight of their celebration, small but powerful details that showed how every part of the day was tailored to them.

Their Ceremony
With the legalities of marrying in the UK proving complex for overseas residents, Keisha and William exchanged vows in the Cayman Islands, where they live, in a simple island ceremony with just two witnesses. they later travelled here for a blessing with us.
The couple exchanged vows within the ancient stone walls of Bilsington Priory Great Hall. Surrounded by towering evergreen silver birches and the peaceful hush of the countryside, their celebrant, Justine Celebrant UK, guided them through thier blessing that blended formality with warmth, giving them exactly the right balance of romance and simplicity, a quiet, deeply personal celebration that united their Caribbean beginnings with the romance of the English countryside.

Why Their Story Matters
Keisha and Williamās wedding is a reminder that intimacy doesnāt mean compromise; it means choice. By stripping away the expectations of a 200-guest celebration, they carved out a wedding that was deeply personal, authentic, and unforgettable.
At Bilsington Priory, their day was about togetherness, not spectacle; about love, not logistics. A true celebration of who they are and all without meeting us until their big day.

Thinking of eloping
Like Keisha and William, you may find that smaller, more intentional celebrations give you the freedom to truly enjoy your wedding. If youāre dreaming of a day that is personal, private, and unforgettable, Bilsington Priory, home of E-Lope, might be the perfect setting for your story.
